Jerk Candied Bacon

2 Min Read

When you are looking for a different appetizer, take a look at the jerk candied bacon. You can make so many different variations on this recipe by the different type of seasoning/bbq rub that you add to it. For example, if you use a seasoning that has more cayenne pepper in it, your bacon will have some heat. If you prefer more of a sweet heat, you can use a seasoning that uses a more mild heat. The Colonel De Spices Jamaican Jerk Seasoning gives just the right of spice for us.

Choosing the bacon that you use is also important as it can change the outcome of your appetizer. The bacon that we get from Howe Farms is more of thicker cut which gives a nice bite to enjoy. If you do use a thinner cut bacon, keep on eye on it because it can cook too quickly and taste burnt.

This is also a great recipe that you can make earlier in the day and for an evening party. Don’t worry about how you will store the leftovers because there won’t be any left.
