Cajun Dogs

Grilled andouille sausage topped with homemade remoulade and cajun shrimp

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Links Andouille Sausage
  • 6 Hoagie or other sausage roll

Vegetable Toppings

  • 1 Green Pepper Diced
  • ½ White or yellow onion Diced
  • 2 stalks Celery Diced
  • 15 oz Can of Fire Roasted Tomatoes Diced

Shrimp

  • 18 Shimp
  • Colonel De Spices Bayou Blend or Similar Cajun Seasoning

Remoulade Sauce

  • 1 cup Mayo
  • 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dash lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Prepared horseradish
  • Your favorite hot sauce to taste

Instructions
 

Create Remoulade

  • Combine remoulade ingredients in a bowl and set aside
    1 cup Mayo, 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard, 1 dash Worcestershire sauce, 1 dash lemon juice, Your favorite hot sauce, 1 tbsp Prepared horseradish

Cooking Andouille

  • Cook the andouille sausage using your preferred method (grill, griddle, cast iron pan, etc)
    6 Links Andouille Sausage

Prepare the toppings

  • Sauté green pepper, onion, and celery until softened and season with Bayou Blend to taste.
    1 Green Pepper, ½ White or yellow onion, 2 stalks Celery
  • Mix fire roasted tomatoes with pepper, onion, and celery mixture. Cook for a few minutes
    15 oz Can of Fire Roasted Tomatoes

Prepare Shrimp

  • Cook shrimp and season with Bayou Blend to taste.  You only need to warm shrimp if using precooked.
    18 Shimp, Colonel De Spices Bayou Blend or Similar Cajun Seasoning

Assemble

  • Place cooked sausage in roll, top with vegetable mixture, shrimp, and top with remoulade.
    6 Hoagie or other sausage roll
